Air Conditioning Installation & Repair
Central air, wall units, and whole-house cooling. All brands serviced. 24/7 emergency repair. SE MA and Rhode Island.
AC Service for SE Massachusetts & Rhode Island
AC stopped working in July? We get that call a lot. Our technicians diagnose the issue and fix it same-day in most cases. Low refrigerant, bad capacitors, frozen coils, thermostat failures. Common parts on every truck.
For new installations, we work with ducted central air and ductless mini splits. Existing ductwork? Central air is usually most cost-effective. No ducts? A mini split covers you without renovation.
Upgrading your entire HVAC system? Ask about combining AC with a heat pump for year-round heating and cooling from one unit. Mass Save rebates may apply. Call (508) 501-7424 for a free assessment.

What Does AC Installation Cost in SE MA / RI?
Central air with existing ductwork runs $10,000 to $25,000 installed. Home size, system efficiency, and the condition of your ducts drive where you land in that range.
No ductwork? A ductless mini split runs $5,000 to $10,000 for the 1-2 zone systems most homes use instead of central air. Multi-zone and whole-home systems run higher. See our Mini Split Installation page.
AC repairs run $350 to $1,500 for most issues. A refrigerant recharge is $500 to $1,000. We quote before any work starts.
Replacing an R-22 system? Repair money is better spent on replacement, since that refrigerant is scarce and expensive.

Why Homeowners Choose Triangle for AC Service
In-House Electricians
Most HVAC installers sub out the panel work. That means two companies, two schedules, two invoices. Our own electricians handle the panel work. One company, one invoice.
Mass Save Participating Contractor
We know which systems qualify, what documentation the program requires, and where homeowners usually lose money by picking the wrong equipment tier. We confirm your eligibility before you spend a dollar.
55 Years. Not a Startup.
Rebate money brought a lot of new companies into this market. Triangle has been at 425 Pleasant Street in Fall River since 1970. When your compressor needs warranty service in 2030, we will still be here.
Four Trades, One Company
Getting a mini split and notice the water heater looks rough? Want a generator quote while we are there? Heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration. One call, one truck, one bill.
What Our Customers Say
How much does central air cost in SE Massachusetts?
$10,000 to $25,000 with existing ductwork. Without ducts, a mini split is usually the better option. Free estimates available.
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
Most common: low refrigerant, dirty condenser, failed capacitor, thermostat issue. Our techs carry diagnostic equipment and parts. Call (508) 501-7424 for same-day service.
Should I repair or replace my AC?
If it uses R-22 refrigerant (phased out 2020), replacement is usually right since R-22 is expensive and scarce. For newer systems, we give you both cost options.
Do you install central air in homes without ductwork?
We can, but a ductless mini split is usually faster, cheaper, and less disruptive. See our Mini Split Installation page.
How long does AC installation take?
One to two days for most homes. Swapping a unit on existing ductwork is usually a one-day job. Adding new circuits or a heat pump can push it to two. We give Fall River and Somerset homeowners a firm timeline before work starts, then we keep it.
Should I replace my AC and heating system at the same time?
Often, yes. When both are past 12 to 15 years, one heat pump can replace them and cost less than two separate installs. Plenty of homeowners in Swansea and Westport pair the projects. Call (508) 501-7424 and we will price it both ways so you can compare.
