Mass Save Rebates, Explained
Up to $9,500 back on a heat pump in 2026, up to $16,000 if you income-qualify, and 0% financing up to $25,000. We quote systems that qualify. We’re a Mass Save participating contractor, and we confirm your eligibility before you spend a dollar.
What Mass Save Pays in 2026
Massachusetts pays homeowners to switch to heat pumps, and the 2026 numbers are real money. Whole-home heat pump projects earn up to $9,500 in rebates. Income-qualified households can receive up to $16,000. On top of the rebate, the 0% HEAT Loan finances up to $25,000 of the project with no interest. Stack those against our published prices for a ducted heat pump or mini split system and the out-of-pocket number gets small fast. Rebate checks typically arrive six to eight weeks after installation.
Why Qualifying Isn’t Automatic
The 2026 program rules tightened. Rebates depend on the refrigerant the system uses, correct sizing, equipment on the qualified list, and a home energy assessment on file. A system quoted by someone who doesn’t track the rules gets installed and then rejected, and the homeowner eats the difference. We quote only systems that qualify, and we’re a Mass Save participating contractor.

Why Homeowners Choose Triangle for Mass Save Projects
In-House Electricians
Most HVAC installers sub out the panel work. That means two companies, two schedules, two invoices. Our own electricians handle the panel work. One company, one invoice.

What Our Customers Say
How much is the Mass Save heat pump rebate in 2026?
Up to $9,500 for whole-home heat pump projects, and up to $16,000 for income-qualified households. The exact amount depends on your project and eligibility, and your written quote from us shows the number for your home specifically.
Do I qualify for Mass Save?
Most Massachusetts homeowners served by a Mass Save sponsor utility do. A home energy assessment needs to be on file, and the equipment has to meet the 2026 requirements. We confirm all of it before you spend anything. Call (508) 501-7424 and we’ll check your address.
What is the 0% HEAT Loan?
Interest-free financing up to $25,000 for qualifying heat pump projects, repaid monthly with no interest ever. Combined with the rebate, it’s how most homeowners in Taunton and Attleboro afford a whole-home system without draining savings.
Why did my neighbor’s rebate get denied?
Usually the system didn’t meet the rules: wrong refrigerant, wrong sizing, or equipment that’s not on the qualified list. The 2026 requirements are stricter than people realize. It’s why we quote only systems that qualify.
Does Mass Save cover mini splits too?
Yes. Ductless mini splits and ducted heat pumps both qualify when the equipment and sizing meet the requirements. Which one fits your home depends on your ductwork and layout. We’ll recommend the right type, not the expensive one. Call (508) 501-7424 for a quote.
How long until I get the rebate check?
Typically six to eight weeks after installation. We file the application right after the job is done, and the check comes to you directly. You’re never fronting paperwork or chasing the program office. That’s our job.
